Interior design project for a client’s home, located in an Art Deco building in Colonia Juárez, Mexico City. The design was conceived to complement the vibrant artworks of Raúl Urias, including a large mural and intricate glasswork on the windows crafted by master artisan Jorge Corona.

Given the bold and colorful nature of Urias' work, the furniture and textiles were thoughtfully selected and designed to balance the space, introducing soft tones and textures that create a more relaxing and cozy atmosphere. Contemporary furniture and accessories designed by Mexican artists were combined with furniture pieces sourced form local vintage shops. The result is an inviting home that harmonizes art and design, where the vibrant energy of the artwork is offset by the calming, comfortable interiors.

The intervention also involved a thorough assessment of the existing floors and original window frames. Collaborating with local carpenters, the project focused on restoring these key elements to bring back the Art Deco spirit from the building’s original era, ensuring the space retained its historic charm while feeling refreshed and livable.
