Vende tu Closet new retail space was conceived not as a traditional store, but as an exploration of intimacy. The concept evokes the feeling of entering the home of a long-time friend, one who welcomes you into their living room to share second-hand findings from their latest travels. Though situated within a contemporary commercial plaza, the interior architecture introduces a residential feel inspired by the spirit of a 1960s home. A palette of natural woods, soft textiles, marble, and stone detailing were utilized to contrast with the existing commercial construction. This material selection balances nostalgia with modern lines, creating an atmosphere of inspiration and warmth essential for the curated experience of shopping for luxury preloved items.
Spatially, the program is designed to cultivate inspiration and frame the unique beauty of the products displayed. The ground level functions as the residence’s "living room," rejecting rigid commercial layouts in favor of organic, lounge-like circulation. In contrast, the mezzanine serves as the operational heart of the space, housing the extensive inventory and the specialized restoration workshop overlooking the retail floor below.
A key element of the design is a framed viewing window that connects the retail floor to the workshop above, turning the technical process of restoration into a performative feature. This architectural gesture allows customers to witness the craftsmanship involved in returning pre-loved items to their natural beauty, reinforcing the brand’s commitment to quality and bridging the gap between the object's history and its new home.
