The design for Vende tu Closet explores the intersection of luxury resale and residential intimacy, reimagining the retail experience as an extension of the home. Moving away from the clinical or high-pressure layouts typical of contemporary commercial spaces, the project looks to 1960s residential architecture to create a space for curated archival fashion. The result is an interior that prioritizes the "second life" of iconic pieces within an environment that feels personal, quiet, and deeply considered.
To achieve this, the floor plan trades traditional rigid shelving and heavy displays for a "living room" atmosphere. The heart of the space is anchored by a bespoke curved lounge, designed to slow the pace of the visitor and encourage an organic path of discovery. By softening the boundaries between commerce and comfort, the architecture invites a lingering engagement with the collection, transforming the act of shopping into a moment of pause.
The material palette was chosen to provide a warm, tactile contrast to the cold, modern commercial plaza that houses the studio. Rich, natural wood grains are balanced by high-contrast marble, creating a visual dialogue between mid-century warmth and contemporary elegance. Every surface is designed to be touched, mirroring the tactile quality of the textiles and craftsmanship found within the collection itself.
A defining architectural detail is the framed mezzanine window, partially obscured by soft drapery. This aperture serves as a subtle, symbolic link to the restoration workshop located directly above the showroom. By providing a glimpse into the space where garments are meticulously cared for, the design highlights the craftsmanship and transparency essential to the circular life cycle of luxury fashion, honoring the history of each piece as it moves toward its next chapter.
